Anupama Hoskere is a Master Puppeteer of Classical Puppetry of India. Following a brief discussion of the origins of puppet theater in ancient India, she will lead viewers through a journey of her own experimentation and explorations that resulted in the revival of this beautiful art form. The talk will be supported by video clippings from her 20 plus live-stage productions of tales from the Indian epics and literary masterpieces. The presentation will include a brief, live puppet dance demonstration.
